How Homely collects, uses and protects your personal data.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This privacy policy explains how Homely Technologies Limited(“Homely”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you visit ownhomely.com, submit a form, or otherwise interact with us. We are the data controller for this personal data and are committed to protecting it in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Homely Technologies Limited is a company registered in Ireland, with its registered office at 33 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, D02 V974. For any privacy matter you can contact us at info@ownhomely.com.
What data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Information you give us— such as your name, email address, phone number, the county or area you're interested in, details you include in an application or enquiry, and the content of any message you send us through our forms.
- Information collected automatically— when you consent to analytics cookies we collect limited technical and usage data, such as device and browser type, pages viewed and approximate (non-precise) location, to understand how the site is used. See our cookie policy for detail.
How we use your data and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiries and calls you request — on the basis of our legitimate interests and/or taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To assess and process a rent-to-own application — to take steps at your request and for the performance of a contract.
- To send you our newsletter or marketing updates — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To measure and improve our website — with your consent to analytics cookies.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations — where we are under a legal obligation to do so.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, including:
- HubSpot— our CRM, forms, email and meeting scheduling (hosted in the EU), used to manage your enquiry or application and to contact you.
- Vercel— website hosting and content delivery.
- Google— Google Analytics (website measurement) and embedded Google Maps, where enabled by your cookie consent.
- Cookiebot (Usercentrics)— to record and manage your cookie-consent choices.
- Professional advisers, and other companies within the Homely group, where needed to progress your application.
Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above — typically for the duration of our relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements — after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- data portability; and
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@ownhomely.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
